A new inclusive playground has opened, featuring Singapore’s first playground slide designed for wheelchair users, alongside accessible swings, sensory spaces and quiet areas.

The Magical Bridge Playground is not just Singapore’s newest inclusive playground; it also features the country’s first playground slide designed for wheelchair users.

Officially opened by the National Parks Board on 17 June 2026, this 3,800 sq m playground at Sun Plaza Park in Tampines welcomes visitors of different ages and abilities. The space features barrier-free routes and four zones for sliding, swinging, spinning and sensory play. Its wheelchair-accessible slides end on flat, bench-style platforms, allowing users to move aside easily while waiting for a caregiver or mobility device.

Other features include a wheelchair-accessible swing, a ground-level spinning carousel, quiet “hideaway huts” for visitors who need a calm space, and a sensory garden with raised planters. Contrasting colours support visitors with low vision, while the fencing around the playground helps caregivers supervise children more easily.

The development expands access to shared play and recreation for people with mobility, sensory and developmental needs, alongside their families and peers.
