A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed to strengthen deaf sports.

The Deaf Sports Association (Singapore) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chinese Taipei Deaf Sports Federation to strengthen cooperation in deaf sports.

The agreement was signed on 4 June 2026, at a ceremony attended by DSA board members and deaf athletes who represented Singapore at the inaugural SEA Games for the Deaf in 2022.

This agreement sees both organisations working together on joint training, athlete and coach exchanges, and the sharing of sports knowledge. Areas identified include athletics, badminton, bowling and other sports. It may also create more opportunities for deaf athletes and coaches in Singapore to gain regional exposure, training experience and technical knowledge.
